We are thrilled to welcome Molly Bryden to the Cleveland Owns team this summer as a Freedom Fellow with Emerald Cities Collaborative.
Born and raised in Cleveland, Molly Bryden is committed to serving her local community. She is a recent graduate of the Master of Public Administration Program at the Maxine Goodman Levin School of Urban Affairs at Cleveland State University, with a specialization in nonprofit management. Working as a Graduate Assistant, her research explored the accessibility of social services, focusing on public energy assistance programs. Her interests involve effective social service delivery and strategies for government-nonprofit collaboration oriented toward improving community-level outcomes.
Motivated by her experience in researching energy insecurity, Molly is eager to join Cleveland Owns this summer to work towards advancing energy democracy and promoting ownership of energy resources within her community.
Outside of work, Molly serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors of the United Spinal Association of Northeast Ohio, a nonprofit organization working to provide educational and recreational opportunities to individuals with spinal cord injuries.
In her free time, Molly enjoys hiking and rollerblading through the Metroparks, and exploring national parks and forests when she can! At home, she will most likely be knitting wearable gifts for her friends and family or spending time with her two beloved cats, Smokey Joe and Ember.
