Last month the ~first ever~ statewide Co-op U started with 18 aspiring worker-owners from Cleveland!!

Co-op U is the 14-week incubator for new worker-owned businesses we’re running with our friends at Co-op Cincy and Co-op Dayton. The Cleveland enrollees are a cafe, a natural building business, and a martial arts studio. We are so encouraged to see them take off!

We're doing this work because we know it's essential to find new ways to organize production in line with our values of economic democracy. Today's top-down, corporate hierarchy is not serving our people or our planet. Fire the bosses - it's time for co-ops in Cleveland!

We’ll share more soon about a graduation ceremony in November where you can say hi and meet the teams.

BTW, the worker owners of People’s Plumbing, the spring graduate of Co-op U, continue to do great work. Check out their website.
